Proline Linear Heat Detection System

Proline Linear Heat Detector is an FM approved and UL listed combined detector and cable which monitors temperature changes at ANY and ALL points along its length and can be installed at the "point of risk" to detect pre-combustion overheat conditions without reliance on any favourable airflows.

80% of Industrial fires are the result of undetected overheats which progress to combustion. A Proline "point of risk" installation provides a fire PREVENTION capability on many applications.

For "area" protection, the sensor cable can also be installed at ceiling or roof height with a maximum 10.6 metres (35 feet) spacing between runs -as tested and listed by U.L. The mechanical flexibility of the sensor allows horizontal ceiling installations to incorporate vertical runs at wall or roof support pillars in order to bring the detector closer to the potential source of an overheat/fire condition and in doing so further improve operating sensitivity ( shorter response times should an alarm condition occur).
The design and construction of Proline sensor cable - including optional extrusions and braidings - allow its continuous un-interrupted operation within DIRTY, DUSTY, DAMP, CORROSIVE & HAZARDOUS environments with no affect to its operation from RFI or EMC.

Alarm temperatures specified by Proline for the sensor cable are NOT dependant on any minimum length exposure.

Proline sensor cable can be connected directly to a customer central fire alarm control panel or can utilise one of the Company's Zone Interface (ZI) units - the range of which includes the following features......

Colour coded LCD display (all models)
Alarm point location (all models)
Solid state volt free output contacts for alarm and fault ( all models)
RS232 serial link,
Pre-alarm or ambient rise warning,
Site programming of a 5kms sensor cable length into 50 "sub-zones" -each with a dedicated alarm output,
loop connection between a single interface unit and multiple "zone box" units (each with a dedicated 2000m of sensor cable attached).
